AIT Center for Energy has the pleasure to announce the opening of Austria's unique DC-laboratory
The new facility serves as a development and validation platform for DC components and systems. It is designed for DC tests up to 75 MW with currents up to 80 kA, making it the largest facility of its kind in Austria. The DC Lab allows the AIT Center for Energy to offer industries in Europe and worldwide a strong design and testing infrastructure for the development and qualification of new DC technologies.
After the ceremony you will also be able to participate a guided tour through the DC laboratory and other energy-related AIT laboratories, such as the recently updated SmartEST lab, a research and simulation infrastructure for testing smart grid components under realistic conditions in the 1 MW range.
