Vienna, November 2020. Priv.-Doz. Dr. DI Angela Sessitsch, Head of Competence Unit Bioresources, is the third time part of the world's most cited researchers. For the analysis of Clarivate Analytics scientific papers were used which were published and quoted between 2009 and 2019. This puts the 6,167 listed scientists from 60 countries, a total of 37 from all disciplines in Austria, in the highest percent of their scientific field.
"This list identifies and recognizes exceptional individual researchers who have a major impact on the research community, measured by the rate at which their work is cited by others," David Pendlebury of Clarivate Analytics said in a broadcast.
In addition to her role at AIT, Angela Sessitsch is also Vice President of ÖGMBT - Austrian Association of Molecular Life Sciences and Biotechnology and teaches at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna.
The Clarivate Analytics data center includes services such as Web of Science, Cortellis, Derwent Innovation, Derwent World Patents Index, CompuMark, MarkMonitor, Techstreet, Publons, EndNote and Kopernio.
