13.05.2019
Susanne Meyer präsentierte im Rahmen der Mission Innovation Week Austria 2019 den aktuellen Stand des Umsetzungsplans

The current status of the implementation plan was presented at the Innovation Week Austria 2019 mission, which took place from 6 to 10 May in Stegersbach/Oberwart (Burgenland). The federal government has adopted an ambitious energy research initiative as part of its climate and energy strategy. The current status of the implementation plan, which was developed together with Austrian companies, was presented and discussed in a dialogue in focus groups on 8 May 2019. On Conference Day on 9 May 2019, the most important messages to politicians were conveyed, providing an outlook on upcoming strategic and funding priorities. The implementation plan for the three missions – Plus Energy Districts, Integrated Regional Energy Systems and Breakthrough Technologies for Industry – identified 39 innovation activities by 63 Austrian innovation stakeholders that contribute to the implementation of Austria's climate and energy strategy. Susanne Meyer from the AIT Center for Innovation Systems & Policy, together with Werner Friedl, Christian Diendorfer, Romana Stollnberger and Ali Hainoun from the AIT Center for Energy, provided essential support in drawing up the implementation plan for the energy research initiative and presented it together with the BMVIT at Mission Innovation Week 2019. Version 1.0 of the implementation plan can be found at www.ikes-umsetzungsplan.at. A final version is expected by the end of June 2019.
