Aviation is facing the challenge of reducing its environmental impact while at the same time meeting the growing demand for mobility. The EU project SOLIFLY, coordinated by AIT and recently completed, marks an important step towards more sustainable aviation. It developed innovative battery technologies that make the operation of aircraft more efficient and environmentally friendly. This includes storage systems with high energy density and the highest safety standards.
