Throughout his more than 50 years of distinguished service, Erwin Schoitsch, Centre for Digital Safety & Security, has demonstrated a tireless dedication to improving software processes and developing safety-related systems that we can all rely on. His tireless work has not only laid the foundations for innovative technologies, but has also contributed significantly to the safety and reliability of embedded systems, which are of crucial importance in numerous areas of life.

The vision and mission of MDU (Mälardalen University in Sweden) are reflected in the pioneering achievements of Erwin Schoitsch. His research and expertise have not only advanced the current state of knowledge, but also opened up new horizons for the future. As part of our network and community, Erwin Schoitsch is a source of inspiration and pride who epitomises our shared vision for excellence and innovation.

For this reason, Erwin Schoitsch has been awarded an honorary doctorate from MDU in recognition of his outstanding achievements and tireless efforts to improve our world by promoting safe and reliable technologies.
