The topic of the ADV event on December 1, 2022 was the sustainable handling of and through IT in areas such as Green IT, energy efficiency and CO2 reduction, energy (economy), Net Zero Strategy or even sustainable operating and hardware lifecycles.
"Data Science & AI for Green Applications" were key topics of the presentation by Anita Graser and Jasmin Lampert, Center for Digital Safety and Security at the ADV Trends - Gamechanger IT event. From acquisition to analysis, Data Science and AI require large amounts of energy.
Using three current projects, MobiSpaces (https://mobispaces.eu) , AI4Trees (www.ai4trees-project.at) and Knowing (https://knowing-climate.eu), they presented ideas for reducing the carbon footprint.
