Dirk Holste takes over as chair of the Healthcare EARTO Working group

The Chair of the EARTO Working Group is taken over for one year by Dirk Holste, Center for Health and Bioresources.
 

Dirk Holste, AIT Center for Health and Bioresources, takes over the chair of the EARTO Working-group "Emerging Technologies for Healthcare". This group consists of more than 30 active experts in applied research in medical technology, healthtech & biotech. The working group represents the interests of RTOs in the upcoming health-related funding programmes in Europe to ensure that EU R&I programmes are optimally aligned with the interests of RTOs and the needs of the healthcare sector.

Before his chairmanship, Dirk Holste was an active member of the working group for two years, working on the common goal of raising the profile of RTOs as key players and promoting their specific and innovative technologies. Dirk Holste explains "to further strengthen the role of RTOs as a key contact for industry and business for innovation in healthcare and to jointly support successful participation in Horizon Europe are main objectives of the WG Healthcare".

In addition to the Partnership for Health in Horizon Europe, the Cluster Health, the EU4Health programme as well as the EIC are key focal points of the new framework programme.
