Manfred Tscheligi is Professor of Human-Computer Interaction & Usability at the University of Salzburg and Head of Center for Technology Experience at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. He was recently honoured with the prestigious "IFIP TC13 Pioneer Award" for his research achievements in the field of human-computer interaction. Tscheligi stands for the topics of human-computer interaction and user experience in this country like hardly anyone else. In an interview with APA-Science, the expert explains what materials and intelligent environments have to do with it and why he sees himself as an interdisciplinary bridge builder.
