he Final Conference of the EU project FIT4FOOD2030 took place virtually on ZOOM on the 24th and 25th of November 2020. The conference intended to broaden the understanding and importance of food system transformation and help different stakeholders engage to accomplish this transformation.

In this two-day virtual conference, participants got the chance to gain insight on the systems approach for food system transformation and learn about practical tools and solutions developed by FIT4FOOD2030 to support responsible research and innovation in food system transformation. With these tools at hand an impact can be achieved on the challenges our food systems currently face within the local, national or European context.

Beatrix Wepner, from the Center for Innovation Systems & Policy hosted a session on “Food trends, scenarios & policies: R&I for sustainable EU food systems” and gave a short overview of trends in the food system and how to use this analysis for vision development, road-mapping or action planning.
